तिल भेद -The seeds look like a variety of tila.

Habit

an erect, usually glaucous, annual robust herb, 60- 120 cm high.

Habitat

It is found globally Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Kabul and also in India.

Morphology

  • Stem - Strait.
  • Leaves- Simple, sessile, alternate, 15-25 x 8-15 cm, ovate-oblong, shallowly pinnatifid, lobed, base cordate, irregularly toothed margin, acute, amplexicaule.
  • Flowers- - Attractive, bisexual, large, 5-6 cm across, white or purplish variegated with a dark stain at the base.
  • Fruits (फल) -purplish variegated 5-6 cm across.
  • Seeds- White or greyish-brown to black, reniform.
